UAE has announced the fuel prices for March 2024, with increases across various types.
Super 98, Special 95, and E-Plus 91:
Starting March 1, 2024, the retail prices for Super 98 petrol will be Dhs3.03 per litre, up from Dhs2.88 in February. Special 95 will cost Dhs2.92 a litre compared to Dhs2.76 in the previous month. Meanwhile, E-Plus 91 sees an increase to Dhs2.85 from Dhs2.69.
Diesel Prices:
Diesel prices will also go up to Dhs3.16 per litre, compared to Dhs2.99 in February.
Monthly Review by Fuel Price Committee:
The fuel price committee, which meets every month, has decided on these adjustments. In February, they had increased rates by up to 6 fils per litre.
Even though things are happening all around the world, OPEC+ is thinking about continuing to reduce the amount of oil they produce. They might keep doing this until the end of the year to help the market. A report from Reuters gave this information.
Every month, since the government changed the rules about oil prices in August 2015, the UAE looks at and changes the prices for petrol. They do this on the last day of each month. They check what's happening with oil prices worldwide and adjust theirs to match. A group called the fuel price committee meets each month to decide if the prices should go up or down.
People and businesses should pay attention to these changes so they can plan how much money they need for transportation in the next month.
