UAE Industrial Sector Opens 500 Job Opportunities for Emirati Youth at Career Exhibition

The inaugural Industrialist Career Exhibition in the region, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), was a resounding success. More than 3,000 Emirati youth flocked to the event at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, where they had access to 500 job opportunities.

Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), and ADNOC Group, the exhibition featured immediate on-the-spot interviews for potential employment. It also showcased various training opportunities at over 73 companies and institutions in the UAE's advanced industry and technology sectors.

The event aimed to foster collaboration between public and private sector entities, promoting interest in the national in-country value (ICV) program and leveraging its incentives.

Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of MoIAT, highlighted the strategic objectives of the exhibition, emphasizing the development of the industrial sector and its role in economic diversification. He encouraged young Emiratis to explore opportunities for professional and career development, aligning with the 'Make it in the Emirates' initiative.

Al Suwaidi emphasized the importance of investing in local talent and their professional growth, emphasizing that the ministry will continue to launch initiatives to boost Emirati participation in industry and advanced technology, particularly in the private sector.

Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary-General of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), applauded the extensive participation of local talent. He noted the significance of the exhibition in providing job opportunities and training in the UAE's industrial sector, thanks to strategic partnerships.

Dr. Saleh Al Hashmi, director of commercial and ICV at ADNOC, stressed the importance of empowering local talent to contribute to the UAE's economic development and 'Make it in the Emirates' initiative.

The exhibition showcased diverse job and training opportunities across various fields, including engineering, scientific disciplines, information technology, supply chains, business and financial management, human resources, and accounting. It also featured training programs across different fields. This event was a significant step in nurturing Emirati talent and fostering economic growth.
