Have you recently spent time at Dubai's public parks? Dubai's municipal government implemented smart ticket machines, which you may have observed near the ticket offices. These modern gadgets make it easier and simpler for park visitors to pay for admission costs by accepting payments via credit or debit cards as well as phones.
First introduced in October 2023 in Safa Park, this new system has since been expanded to several other well-known parks in Dubai like Zabeel Park, Mamzar Beach Park, and Creek Park. Visitors can choose to pay for tickets using their cards or phones at these self-service kiosks. And if you prefer cash, you can still pay at the ticket desk.
But, keep in mind, if you're heading to Quranic Park in Al Khawaneej, they only accept NOL cards. The Dubai Municipality's customer service center made that clear.
In the past, to get into parks, people used to scan their NOL cards at a machine. Now, things have changed. Instead of the card, you'll get a paper ticket with a Quick Response (QR) code on it. You'll get this ticket at the counter if you're paying with cash or using the smart ticket machines. It's a new and easier way to enter the park.
Here's a simple guide to using the smart ticket machines at Dubai's public parks:
Here's a quick overview of entry fees for some of Dubai's public parks:
Entry remains free for children under two years old and individuals with determination.
At Quranic Park, you can only pay with NOL cards. The entry fees are Dh5 for the Glass House and Dh5 for the Cave of Miracles.
The purpose of these smart ticket machines is to improve tourist experiences by providing a more easy and accessible means of accessing Dubai's stunning public parks. These improvements make it easier to enter, whether you're a visitor or a resident, making it more comfortable for everyone to enjoy these calm areas.
